How to copy files from phone memory to SD card in android

It will be always annoying when you see the phone memory full and which doesnot allow you to install the any other apps in smartphone. It's always difficult to store everything in phone, because of the phone memory limited storage capability.Hence we need to find a way to move phone memory to SD card.

If you want to move the files from the phone to SD card. Make sure that you have a SD card on your Smart phone and follow the below steps:
  • Install any Folder Manager on your smart phone Apps like the "ES File Explorer File Manager", File Manager etc.
  • Open the app the ES file folder
  • Tap on 0
  • Select the folder you want from one phone to the SD card. For examples if you want to move images from the "DCIM" folder, Open the DCIM folder
  • Select the images you want to move the files by long press on any single image. You find the check box appearing on the right side, you can select the multiple images 
  • Tap as directed in the below image and
  • If you want to select all the images then choose the "Select All" and then Tap on the "Move to"
                                                       
  • Tap on "Move to" you will see the below image and tap on the arrow which is the pointing to the left side.
  • After Tapping, you will see the following the image: and then select the "/storage/sdcard1"
  • Select the destination location and click Ok. Here I want to move the files to the DCIM of SD card.

  • You will see the Ongoing status while the files are moving from the source location to the destination location. After the files are transferred, you will find the confirmation messages as shown in the below image.
